Nottingham Youth Orchestra (NYO)
Founded in 1985, the main aim of the NYO is to promote the musical development of young local musicians in full time education. The orchestra has gained a reputation for its high standards of performance and has received praise and acclaim both in the UK and on tours abroad.
Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall (TRCH)
‘Situated in the heart of Nottingham, The Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall are two of the UK’s most vibrant touring venues, leading the way for arts and entertainment in the East Midlands region. In addition to large orchestral & choral events, they host more intimate series of concerts by individual or small groups of performers in their foyer spaces.
Orchestra of the Restoration (OTR)
Based at St Mary’s Church in Nottingham’s historic Lace Market, the OTR was formed in 1987. The OTR has frequently featured young performers and furthered the careers of many.
Music for Everyone (MfE)
Originally formed as the Nottingham Choral Trust in 1983, the work of the Trust has developed to comprise eleven performing groups, involving over one thousand participants. MfE presents a varied programme of high quality concerts each season, as well as developing educational projects.
Nottingham Symphonic Winds (NSW)
One of the UK’s leading orchestras of its type, NSO aims to perform music to the highest standard, entertaining audiences as well as raising funds for local charities and organisations. NSW is able to play a dazzlingly diverse repertoire from well-known orchestral classics, through jazz, swing, film and show tunes to modern wind orchestral music
