David and Margaret Oldershaw, the proprietors of Windblowers Music Shop, are proud to maintain their support for the Nottingham Young Musician of the Year.
They are just as keen now, as when they first met with the original organisers, to create a competition to encourage the amazing talent of young musicians not just in Nottingham, but country-wide.
David and Margaret have always used their business to support and sponsor young musicians in many different ways, and this generosity was recognised in 2016 when Margaret was awarded the MBE for services to community music.
As sponsors of a number of local organisations, including Nottingham Symphonic Winds, Blackwood Clarinet Choir, Music Makers Summer School, and Equinox Saxophone Ensemble, they and Windblowers continue to be at the heart of the flourishing Nottingham music scene.
